I have 28 left of GME (sold 50 @410 bought at $44.45) and I have 250 of AMC bought @ $2.31. I really hope my AMC goes to the moon.

This is me. My AMC IS GOING TO THE MOON!

LOL congrats. I still have 10 shares of AMC left. I got greedy at $15 a couple months ago and paperhand'd

At what price do you start selling chunks off?

I don’t know. I’m new to buying individual stocks and AMC was actually the first stock I ever purchased, so I feel very loyal to it. I’m hoping it gets to GME territory, then I’ll start selling. My DH has a little less than 800 and he says if it gets to $100 he’s selling. He bought at $2.31 as well.

TO THE MOOOOOOONNNNNN

Why do they keep halting?

LULD rules. Limit up, Limit down- stock moves of 10% or more in 5 minutes of trading results in a trading halt. Seems like it should only apply when a drop occurs but it applies both up and down.

And just like that the reversal begins

Should I sell? I bought in March at 11.
Between that and roblox I’ve made about $5000 in a very short period of time.
First time picking and buying individual stocks.

Think I should buy a copper ETF next...

OP here still think I am nuts? GME 300 right now..flash crash yesterday? Wow barely noticed.

ask yourself why the liquidity concerns on Wall Street?

1. Bank of America issued 15B worth of bonds recently their largest ever
2. Crytpo tanked 40% so someone needed the money
3. The reverse repo market aka the Fed Store- record levels of transactions (500 Billion in one day!) for funds and market makers that need emergency liquidity. billions and billions of overnight loans. What happens when the collateral pledged for these loans is less "pristine" jeez I dunno maybe the borrow rates go way up..Rates go up suddenly liquidty gone and defaults on the horizon.. BOOM

simple math here listen in, 10,000, $50,000 per share? all within reach, even higher than that. What if the real short shares total tally is 1 Billion shares that they have to cover? Gamestop has only 55 Million shares traded ( not owned by insiders) and actually closer to 30M actively traded shares. The excess short shares are synthetics born out of naked short selling. So a short squeeze or the MOTHER of ALL Short Squeezes is all 1 Billion shares being bought aka closed out. What if nobody is in the mood to sell people shares WE KNOW THEY HAVE TO BUY. ( you buy to close your short position). What would you sell someone your shares for if they were begging you to buy them or face going bankrupt? At 300-500 a share they can't close their short positions even if they wanted to. They wouldn't have the money. Can't come up with the money? No problem the DTCC places them in default and will liquidate all of their funds shut them down and close their shorts aka hit the buy button. Believe me the DTCC doesnt care if the price is 4000 or 40000 at that point they are just hitting the buy button and closing the short sellers bankrupt position. The DTCC has member money and other funds they can tap that are in the TRILLIONS to pay off these short positions. All of that will take months not days or hours. See why 50,000 a share could be low? Alexa play "when the levee breaks" by Led Zeppelin!

This would cause a massive fire sale of all collateral, including blue chip stocks, bonds, and Treasuries.

The Feds step in before that happens and pulls the market triggers. I guarantee it. They will not blow up the markets and seniors' 401Ks/IRAs for GameStop bag holders. And I say that as someone who loves WSB and has been holding AMC for months.

Completely wrong. You think the government would step in and stop trading in Gamestop when nothing illegal was done to save boneheaded Hedge Funds that over leveraged themselves? We would become a world wide joke in the all the financial markets. The asset sell offs these funds would do to save their hides is one piece. Once they default no further selling of anything would occur. The DTCC has member deposits banked that backstop this stupidity. Once they default there would not be a fire sale of assets. Their assets would be auctioned to other financial institutions putting that Hedge fund out of business. Did anyone read about Archegos Capital in March? THey lost 20Billion in 3 days! The SEC is outlining how all of this unwinding would occur now see reg SR-OCC-2021-801
