Do you all individually wrap each thing that goes in the stocking or not? (Sorry...didn’t grow up with Christmas stockings)

We do not, but I know families who do. All that tiny wrapping of paper would
Drive me crazy!

you could do goldfish or other crackers instead of candy, I don't think a 1 year old really knows the difference

otherwise:
Bath toys
cloth book
vehicles
blocks
stuffed animal/plushie

Mostly yes. We wrap nearly everything. It’s what makes it fun. That said, normally multiple households contribute to stockings. We all pitched in. This year it’s deal old mum wearing her hands out (that’s a joke, literal folk...dad will help!).

No we don't. I've actually never heard of people wrapping stocking items! I'd think the stocking itself is the wrapping.

We keep all the scraps from wrapping the larger gifts to wrap the stocking stuffers.

If they have a car, maybe items for that - travel first aid kit, emergency seat belt cutter/window hammer, flashlight, emergency tool kit, foldable poncho.

DH grew up with the gifts wrapped in white tissue paper, and we did that when my kids were small. I like the way the wrapping paper slows things down, and makes the kids concentrate on each thing. But at some point I became concerned about the environment, so now I buy a new pack of white socks and wrap things in socks. I figure my kids need socks once a year anyway, so it's less wasteful.

To the PP who recommended McPhees for weird stocking gifts- thank you. I just found a bunch of hysterical one-offs for the stockings!

I always went to Spencers and found some fun, odd things for the stockings (though now I think everything is x-rated at Spencers). Always a magazine, like Mad, or cars, or puzzles. Always a new pair of gloves or hat. Always a fun pair of socks. Always gum and some candy.

small containers of kinetic sand/slime
cookie cutters
magnetic book marks
special coins
bathtub paints/markers
finger puppets

Bath Bombs

This year-"fun" face masks
deck of cards/card games
key chains (no clue why my kids need so many keychains but always a hit)
art supplies-crayons, water colors
