Uhm, not sure how to say this but I will. As a CCL coach I gotta tell you. It’s one of the most pathetic and lame platforms I’ve ever witnessed. Yes, 9 games for a year. Let that sink in. That’s on a good year. It’s an absolute scam. Would love to see that league vanish. |
Name your club or you’re a liar. Easy as that. |

We are new to CCL this year. The schedule shows 8 games in the fall. What happens to make it 9 for the year, do some get cancelled? |
The rest of the games will be in the spring for a total of around 16 games. Been in the CCL for about 7 years and have always had a full schedule. |
| For u16 and up the schedule goes thru January with about 16-17 games. It is set up that way so the kids can play high school soccer in the spring! |
If you are on the girls side they just cancel games. The games are never rescheduled. This was pre pandemic. Just because the game s listed doesn’t not mean it will happen. The boys side seems okay. The CCL2 is even worst for the girls. |
My kids have both played CCL and CCL2 for past 4 years and have always had a full schedule. Must be something specific to your club. |
This is just false on so many levels. My kid has been CCL Girls for a few years and I have not experienced this at all. Straight BS from this poster |
Ok that’s good to know. I was getting worried... |
| Only have 1 season in (last fall), so my info is limited - but here was our fall '19 nextgen experience from an area 2nd team. There were games "scheduled" on the site that didn't exist. No issue for our top team because there was a matchup always there. But several clubs (either 2 or 3) didn't have a 2nd team, therefore our game didn't happen. It was on the schedule on the website. But the other team didn't exist. So obviously we didn't play, in addition to an end of season rain out that never got rescheduled. We ended the fall season with 5 games, including one mix up where our top played their middle & vice versa (both blowouts to the top squad, no fun for anyone). Highly organized or communicative is not how I'd describe the situation. I don't know if we would have had the same experience in the spring or not. Our team went to several local tournaments, so we got plenty of soccer in and our girls enjoyed it, but it wasn't a great introduction to travel and the world of CCL from a parent/logistics perspective. Always possible it was communication on our side - but I never did hear an explanation for the "mystery" games appearing on the website. |
This poster is lying. The girls side has real problems scheduling. DD’s team had this problem at Arlington. We had to leave for a different club. |
| CCL 2 is not as well put together as CCL 1. My DS team has been in it a couple years and some of the clubs are missing teams at certain age groups so no game gets scheduled. We never get as many games as the CCL 1 team. The competition is ok but I think some of the better CCL 2 teams would do fine in CCL 1 and the lower CCL 1 teams should probably be in CCL 2 |
| I am a LMVSC parent. Why are the games vs Beach FC now being played in VA Beach? We were told the game would be regionalized to reduce travel. I am not comfortable being in the car 7+ hours when other clubs are able to play in Richmond. Is this a CCL issue or LMVSC issue. |
OMG! You are that person driving 30 mph in the left lane! |
