+1. Everyone was like F that.

I went to a nail salon in Stafford to get a pedicure. Flame away!

If DC and MD open up, it will be hard to see how northern VA stays shut. But, based on the increases in cases and hospitalizations, NOVA will not qualify for having 14 days of declining data.

I thought the 14 day decline they were looking for was positivity rate, not # of cases, hospitalizations or deaths. And I thought we were doing well with that metric.

I’m surprised how many people are so I discriminate with their service providers. I want MY hair stylist and MY nail tech that I searched high and low for. I’m going to some rando.

Normally I would agree with you but I had gone two months without my every other week pedicure and so at that point I didn’t care.

I was very impressed by the precautions the nail salon took. I specifically researched a well-reviewed one.

The VA numbers are still awful, and there’s no sound rationale for reopening nova (let alone anywhere else in these state, though the horse is out of the barn there). The state is really, really struggling with this.

You can go to church with half your congregation and Virginia Beach is open. Go figure.

Same. And my friends are for the most part educated, intelligent rule followers. People feel like the local, state and federal govt wasted the time we bought them. Everything my kids were looking forward to hs been canceled indefinitely-I am going to let them get some time with friends while we can.

exactly. There is no way that Northern VA is going to meet the metrics that they set out. So, the only question is how they are going to spin those metrics to make it look like "it's close enough!"

Fairfax had a big spike today. Loudoun will get the results from their testing blitz back Fri. or Sat. That's going to be a big bump. Then Fairfax Cnty is doing a 2-day testing blitz in Annandale/Falls Church on Sat/Sun -- so those big numbers will be coming back on Mon/Tues of next week.

If DC and MD open up, it will be hard to see how northern VA stays shut. But, based on the increases in cases and hospitalizations, NOVA will not qualify for having 14 days of declining data.

Was there a big jump on testing? Was the percent positive down? It has been dropping.

Do NOT even get me started with this church nonsense. What a crock of crap.

Is there anyway to know how much of the infections are in nursing homes etc vs people living in normal neighborhoods?
