Op here. I have a quick question. From all this stretching and ball rolling my foot is throbbing even more than normal. Is this good or does it mean I’m doing something wrong? I feel like I’m walking on a marble.
I am going to make another podiatrist appt. I ordered heel cups today too as I hadn’t tried those before (I did wear compression sleeves) |
| Things I did: physical therapy. Rolling my foot on frozen water bottle multiple times a day. Orthotics in running shoes. Tens unit. Some stupid “light box” thing that a friend loaned me that she had gotten from Hammacher Schlemmer that I put my feet on in the evenings. Sleeping in boot. Sleeping in Strasburg sock. Anti inflammatories. It took at least 6 months to go away. |

My DH had plantar fasciatis that would not go away. Then it finally went away, and one 5K and it was back. Then it really wouldn't go away.
He went to the doctor; he did stretches, rolling, had the boot, he did it all. This fixed it. Read it and watch the video. The trick is to hold the stretches over 2 min.--the article (or video) explains why this works. https://www.marksdailyapple.com/plantar-fasciitis-stretches/ |
^^This stretch does work, as well as others. I also got running shoes for PF and it helped A LOT. I think I have the Saucony ISO Ride and it helped me to continue to work out with pain. The shoes are very cushioned. |
