I had my follow up today. They took 2 more angles and an ultrasound. There is a large “maybe cyst, maybe not” and I’m scheduled for a biopsy next week. I had hoped today would be reassuring, but it wasn’t. Now I’m really terrified. I just can’t do this.
Thank you for updating us OP. Praying that all goes well with the biopsy. We are here for you!
Thank you. I’m normally pretty tough, but I just had thyroid cancer 2 years ago. My kids can’t handle this again.
Why was it necessary to traumatize your children with a thyroid cancer diagnosis? Assuming your children were too young to understand that thyroid cancer has basically a zero percent chance of killing you, did you even have to say the word "cancer" to them?

A mother who had thyroid cancer three years ago
Shut. Up. Different people handle things different ways, and feel a stronger sense than others to be open and transparent. If nothing else, telling her kids about it will make them more aware of their own health/family history going forward.
It is horrible for you to act like you handled thyroid cancer "right" and the PP handled it "wrong." Grow up. People are Different From You.
