Ditto PP. Potomac parent here. We had a very similar experience on the school visit - seems as if attention was lavished on a single student to the exclusion of others. Shadow visit was a little better - it really is the luck of the draw in whether your child clicks with the host. Our child loved the school regardless, and was thrilled with being accepted. Fast forward to now: still very happy with the decision, he has found "his tribe". Very diverse student mix in terms of interests. Trust more your child's instinct and sense of belonging and don't let the admission staff negatively influence the decision.
