The liberal-leaning ProgressVA in an email Monday specifically called attention to Comstock's vote this year against the state budget bill and a 2010 vote for House Bill 30, which cut aid to K-12 education by $620 million, according to ProgressVA.

Comstock was one of 17 delegates – out of 100 – who opposed this year's budget bill, House Bill 1500. Other House members representing Loudoun who voted against the bill include Dels. David Ramadan (R-87th) and Jim LeMunyon (R-67th).

“We're starting to have some serious concerns about the gap between the reality of Del. Comstock's record and what's she's presenting to her constituents,” said Anna Scholl, executive director for ProgressVA, a progressive advocacy group. “For example, her April newsletter touted the teacher pay raise that she actually voted against.”

This is the problem. People seem to confuse money with results. Do you have any idea how much of these funds are wasted? signed teacher

Comstock tries to present herself as a moderate but she votes with the right-wing Republicans. Maybe that's OK in Winchester but it doesn't help anyone in Fairfax or Loudoun.

I heard Clifton ES was closed and FCPS did not want to put money on renovations because Clifton is where Schultz lives. Could this be true?

Say what you will, Schultz is extremely responsive. Had a transportation issue with FCPS and she addressed it it immediately. I'll vote for her.

I've watched this stupid lady literally turn her back on students who expressed views that weren't in line with her right-wing political views, so I will gladly contribute money to anyone who opposes her in the future. She's a disgrace.

The entire schoolboard acted very poorly during that whole fiasco. Schultz's conduct was somewhere in the middle and was certainly not the worst.

I've watched in it for themselves members out right lie at public meetings to get votes passed. Pick your poison.

The board of education shouldn't align itself with political parties nor left and right-winged mess. The board is made up of elected officials who should represent their area with transparency and responsiveness. Need her and she is there. Give her funding and she spends it wisely. She cannot fight off the ridiculousness of Moon and McElveen on her own. She does what she can to hold the board to their own policies and procedures. If you watched all the meetings closely, you would all be thankful she has her eyes on the process because many there on the board do not. They are so completely out of touch. They really are clueless. Schultz has children in the system right now. She's not going anywhere.
