I hate that they've made her into such a ditz. They did the same thing with Robert for a while, 'tho now it seems that he's redeemed himself by rescuing Harold. |
agree. I recall in Season 1 she was clever. Now she's just the sounding board to hear everyone else's cover stories for their schemes. |
What if Edith isn't actually pregnant? Remember the paper said the symptoms likely point to the first trimester of pregnancy? Since she didn't go through with the abortion and she isn't showing at all, what if she isn't even pregnant?
Speaking of her showing... how far along is she supposed to be? If they are going on a 3 month trip, are we supposed to believe she is about 6 months along? How much time is supposed to have passed since she went to the doctor? |
I think she is related to him -- possibly his mother? |
God I hope not. Tom had his run at the daughters and got the one most suitable to him in Sybil. He should now be free to find another woman who is good for him rather than foisting him off on Edith. She needs her type of man as well. |
My wishful thinking is that maybe he was running from Bates when he stepped in front of a truck or bus in Picadilly Circus. (Rather than having been pushed!) |
Bates is scary, sexy and innocent.
I will be more upset if Isobel doesn't up end with Dr. Clarkson Daisy was wonderful last night. She is the hard luck girl of the downstairs and Edith is the hard luck girl upstairs. Edith is definitely pregnant. I can't believe that DA hasn't licensed a manufacturer to make some of the clothes. Those overblouses they are all wearing are exquisite. The dresses, the hats, etc., etc. They put fashion week to shame. |
Pretty sure he was exposed as a fraud and sent packing. |
I think it was pretty well-established that he did not actually kill his ex-wife, right? She committed suicide and framed him at the same time. And I still love Bates, but it sucks that all this crap has happened to him and Anna. |
We were lead to believe that is what happened, the framed suicide. But, everyone seems so sure he would kill the rapist and I think that is because they really believe he killed his wife. |
Well, just speaking for myself here, but I believe he would kill the rapist to get revenge for the horrible assault of his beloved wife - not because he's just a murderin' kinda guy. And if the plot line had made it seem even a little believable that he *didn't* kill the rapist, I would probably be able to get behind that a little more. |
Gregson might be keeping his distance from Edith for legal reasons given that era's divorce lawys (a colleague suggested as much today). And yes what did she co-sign? I hope not confession to a murder! (She didn't seem to read it closely, and odd she didn't seek legal counsel, given her upbringing and station.)
I do not like the school teacher for Tom. |
Yes on the clothes. What about the SHOES? And the necklaces. Swoon! |
I don't like how all the ladies after Tom act too familiar with him because he is also a commoner. He seems like a respectable person and he shouldn't be treated like a social climber in cahoots with another social climber. |
Tom's never going to be able to have another acknowledged relationship if he wants to remain at his current standing with the family. It's one thing to be Sybil's widower and father to her child. Once he has another wife it changes everything. |
