Do your towels always get ruined? (if not, recommendations please...)

Our newer towels are Charisma from BBB and they are 7-10 years old. Cheap towels will die quickly. Walmart and Target towels die the fastest (we use those for the animals) We have a lot of towels and wash them together every 10 days. Hang them up to dry when wet. And if they get sour use some Mr Clean to get the smell out. The quality is in the towel, not how you wash them.

Surely nothing dies faster than Ikea towels.

For the life of me, I can't figure out what the problem is but I'm sure it has nothing to do with the brand of the towel. Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone in your household use acne medicine with benzoyl peroxide?

I have found my mineral powder makeup does this as well.

My deodorant (Mitchum for Women) does this.

Buy more expensive towlels. If you don't want to spend more money, buy them at Home Goods, TJ Maxx , Tuesday Morning or Marshalls.

I find that it's not really the towels, it's the washing machine. We now live in a rental with a cheap washer and dryer, and they are chewing up clothes and towels we have had no problems with before.

But you need to wash with hot in order to kill germs.

A dryer on the hot setting will kill more germs than a hot washing machine.
