| AI Class of 1986 and grew up in Hockessin. It was boring as h*ll. Back then, the schools were on the great decline (most of the kids in my neighborhood went to private or Catholic) and I heard they are terrible now. I agree with the other PPs - buy in Chadds Ford for the better schools, and it's closer to suburban Philadelphia. |

| what exactly makes the schools "terrible"? I'm really just curious. I know I went to my parochial HS because the local HSs just did not offer the AP classes that my parents wanted for me, but I knew several friends from my neighborhood who went to local HSs and seemed to do OK in life. |

| I went to AI in the late 90's and I didn't find it to be terrible. Maybe I just didn't havea frame of reference, but I worked hard, did well, had a great experience and consider myself fairly successful. So I am also curious what makes Red Clay school district so awful. |
