What is your go to red sauce for pasta?

Anonymous
Whole Foods fresh sauce (marinara, vodka, . . . couple other types) is quite good and actually less expensive than the more expensive jarred varieties.

This is my go to pasta sauce. It's all about the butter and making sure you get GOOD canned tomato.

They're bottom of the barrel as far as jarred sauces go, IMO. Wegmans brand, Newman's Own, Classico, Barilla and Rao's are all MUCH better.

Hell, I prefer generic HT Trader and Safeway brand to Prego and Ragu!!

My family loves the Ragu chunky sauce. I think the one with garlic onions and something else chunky. I grow tomatoes and often have so many I need to make sauce but they prefer the jar.
