I have a donut in my purse

Montgomery Donuts cinnamon twists were BY FAR the best! I am salivating as I type this!

Ha. All this chatter about salivating, and cream, and eating, and holes will soon cause Jeff to move this thread to the adults only forum!

Nothing beats their vanilla and chocolate creme filled ones. The rest are just okay, but their creme filled ones rock.

Yuck! I'm sorry, but I love right near a wonderful bakery. I have very low standards and will eat pretty much anything if it has enough sugar. I went to DD to get donut holes for ds bay party. We almost didn't even eat them. They were horrible.
I think I have been spoiled by our bakery.
Yum

Seriously, I think there is one loser who keeps taking the perfectly lovely theme of donuts and trying to move it to something else. Stop it. We are talking about our favorite donuts. That deserves its own thread.

The juxtaposition of this donut thread with the I just filed for divorce thread, currently 1 and 2 on Recent Topics is sad, or amusing, or something. Gotta love DCUM.

OP, I hope your purse costs less than 1K.

A donut would make her feel better, by the way.

If memory serves, the Montgomery Donuts bakery once did a side business with wedding cakes. Is that still true?

Hmm I am not sure. Montgomery donuts went out of business when I was a teenager so I only remember the awesome donuts. On DCUM I read in arlington there is a diner that bought the recipe for some of the donuts but I think just a boring glazed ones.

I have heard rumors that there is a Fractured Prune in Rockville. But it's in Rockville. So needless to say, I've never made it over there.

Nope, it's closed.

How big is OP's purse?

I bought it this morning.
Glazed.
Yes.

If it had been a cruller, I would have thought we were separated at birth, or something. I hope it was at least wrapped in a napkin or something (I totally threw one in without anything around it once, and I think there's still glaze in my cell phone speakers!)

It's in a paper bag. Don't worry, it is safe.

OP, I have bad news for you. Paper bags are very, very unsafe for donuts. Don't worry. It takes a special skill to dispose of them properly, but I have studied long and hard to acquire that skill. Walk to the corner. Between two rocks is a flower. Count the petals. If there is an odd number of petals, go east. If there is an even number, go south. When you reach the low hedge, place the bag inside. If you hit the tree with the moss you've gone too far. Leave the bag in the hedge. It will be taken care of.
