I hate to break it to you but U of Rochester is not in the same category as Syruacuse, Rutgers-Newark, or Drexel. It is probably more of a reach. Have you looked at their admissions statistics?

I agree with you. But why do people want to go to school in Rochester?

Because it's a great school in a nice city. And because many people *like* snow, cold, and ice.

I'm aware of this (I went to UMD-CP). Would love a school with that sort of diversity, but just not as big. Got a good list going (some are reaches where in some alternate universe she'll get accepted):

Rutgers-New Brunwick
Rutgers-Newark
University of NC-Charlotte
Fordham U
VCU
Old Dominion
John Hopkins
William & Mary
Syracuse U
Drexel U
Towson

When were you there? I went 1994 to 1999, and there was always a sizeable Asian and Indian contingent at the school.
