Apparently, you are not part of the Jewish community. The word is out about Occidental. See the facebook page "Occidental college parents against anti-semitism". You can't have 14 Jewish students leave about of a total student body of 1,600 and not have it discussed amongst all anxious Jewish parents sending their kids to college.

Correct but not new. The demise of many of these SLACs were predicted pre-Covid . During Covid they were slammed. Oxy had a deficit of $30m then. That’s when the football team was slashed but never reinstated for financial reasons

Nothing wrong with a school giving a $15K discount off of tuition for committing early. It's win-win. Oxy gets predictability and kid who gets accepted gets to lock in a discount for 4 years for doing so.
