How does everyone feel about the winter forecasts coming out?

This is dc we have mild winters with not much snow.

But climate change brought on by a planet on fire means more snow.

Or something.

Ah, so you don't understand climate change.

Looks like people are looking forward to it.

Don't apologize. I have a grad degree in English and your post is fine. People are just jerks and spew the vitriol they wouldn't dare spew in person all over the internet behind the cloak of anonymity.

Not to be pedantic, but it's "cloaca" of anonymity.

DP. cloak of anonymity is the correct expression,
Cloaca means orifice.

Also for temps to be colder than usual.

What does everyone think?

Let's hope it's true.

I don't really mind anything except that I need my oil tanks replaced, I haven't had heat in 6 months. Livable since I'm alone and don't necessarily require hot water for laundry and dishes since I have another building on propane and can take showers there. I just let it go for a while I guess.

Now it's 55 degrees in the house today and I feel like the work is cutting it close and I look ridiculous wandering around the house in a giant plush leopard print robe with a hood like I should be singing "that don't impress me much!"

Doug isn't predicting 40 inches for most of the area. That's the upper limit for Winchester and Frederick area.

DC metro is half of that, at most.

Well, if you're up some bird's cloaca, chances are no one will look for you there. Excellent place to seek anonymity!

I don’t think; I KNOW:

Trump caused this

The European and Canadian models are growing increasingly bullish on more snow.

That's reassuring. Thank you.

This area is way, way past due for a blizzard. Our last one was in 2015. We need some good snowfall that melts slowly. My philosophy about weather is accept what it is to because there is nothing we can do about it.

Keep ample food on hand and pray that power stays on..

January 22 and 23, 2016 (“snowzilla”) parts of Fairfax and Loudoun got nearly 3 feet of snow. My area got 33 inches from one storm.
