Or make me feel ill at ease.

For instance I saw many of those weird pumpkins this Halloween, the ones w/all those chickenpox-like bumps & they made me feel itchy.
Or if I see a tree covered in holes where a woodpecker pecked that also makes me shudder.

I agree! Anything with holes gross me out. I need to change lanes when I’m behind any kind of truck with pipes. The little holes at the end gross me out. I can’t figure out why. My mom felt the same way!

Same with me. So much that I have nightmares about it. Recently someone near me was eating a pomegranate and I got so queasy I had to leave.

I read that it’s hypothesized the fear comes from aversion to skin diseases. The idea being if someone has a skin disease with a bunch of bumps and clusters, you’ll be grossed out and stay away. Funny enough, both my kids have had molluscum badly, so I was grossed out by my own kids for over a year.

I hate the way the smell.
I hate the texture
I hate the sound people make when eating them

I am also a hater but it's mostly the texture that does it for me. I don't like the sliminess.

Smelling that someone has recently defecated or vomited in a public restroom.

This is not odd. This is gross to everyone.

What should you do when you're in a public space and a bathroom isn't readily available?

Blowing your nose is ok; it’s when you do that honking sound in conjunction with the nose blowing that it becomes intolerable.

You are not alone!

While it varies with different people, I also start feeling itchy, even sometimes scratching my arms because I experience such discomfort when I see clusters of bumps or a group of holes.
And yes, I agree it is definitely an aversion to skin afflictions for me.

-> I first noticed this bothered me while watching a movie (cannot remember the name?)
Michael B. Jordan’s character was covered in multiple bumps all over his chest and body and when that scene came on, I felt this unusual sense of extreme discomfort > it was almost unbearable for me to watch the rest of the movie because I just couldn’t unsee it after that!

Agree with OP. Cover your mouth when yawning!

I also hate beards. And when men wear pajama pants in public, or flip flops anywhere but the beach.

Co-worker clips his fingernails during video meetings weekly and is clearly just letting the clippings fly wherever
