I found it on poshmark so I paid <$100 for it. I really like the designer, lots of good, relatively affordable options.

This is gorgeous!

Love it. Nice color for a fall wedding.

When I needed a dress for a wedding, I got 6 options from Nuuly. But I only needed to look presentable, not fantastic and didn't want to spend a lot. I love the PPs idea to have a stylist assist you. If you are confident in your dress pick, you will shine. Best of luck!

Nordstrom is good at this!

Dress up for your current boyfriend, not your ex. You sound immature. Keep it classy.

Yes, yes. Focus on what's going well in your life and bring that energy to the gathering. It's tough when there is an ex like that, but the best revenge, if necessary, is living well. Agree with others here who have suggested a nicely tailored dress, which is not Lauren Sanchez inspo, along with getting hair and make up done to highlight your natural beauty is the way to go.

Stop with the Adrienne Papell dress! It's terrible for a 30-something!

Anonymous wrote:I have a wedding to go to at the height of winter. The ceremony is in a beautiful old church and the reception is at a swanky city place with dinner and a fun dancing crowd. I'll be attending with my boyfriend and my cheating ex husband will also be there. I'm late 30s, 5'6in, size 8, hourglass shape.

Any recs on dresses or where to look? I haven't been to a wedding in ages. Ideally budget under $250.

Try Rent the Runway.

Agree with Rent the Runway. You'll get high-end designer dress, and pay less than $250 for rental

Eh, I wouldn't wear it because it would look awful on me but nowhere did OP say she *wants* to dress slutty. She said she wanted to look good.

I think people are conflating that OP wants to show off a little with OP wanting to look like a cheap whore.

+1
Nowhere did OP say she wanted to look sexy/slutty. Just that she wanted to look really good. And who wouldn’t?

Poster above you in their 30s and I don't think it's terrible, per se, it's just kind of plain.

Also Adrianne Papell dresses are usually really cheap quality. I have a couple and they're just okay.
