Huh. I thought that was a typo. Please don't let leggins be a thing. I'm already at my wit's end with mash potato, ice tea and whip cream.

They typed it that way both in the title and in the message. Weird.

My relatives in India all call them leggins. I have never seen them write it but they do not use the g and if I had to guess, they don’t know there is a g in the word. (Not knocking that. Words change like that across countries all the time.)

PP. It actually comes up quite often because many women have moved to using leggings under the long salwar tops for casual wear, as they are more comfortable. And they all say leggins.

Does anyone remember the mail order catalog from Fredericks of Hollywood in the 90s? They used to sell stuff like these, but it was to be worn discretely under clothes!

Yes, usually in the same section of the catalog as the lace bodystockings.

Those are awful.

I also wonder why the super short shorts for yoga and fitness. Do they not realize what the view is like during cat/cow? I try to keep my eyes closed as much as possible.

I have heard people from NJ (like people who are REALLY from NJ, going back at least 2-3 generations as opposed to transplants), use the word "leggins."
