| If I remember correctly, I believe that the government pays tuition for children of military members. |
If their parents fill out the form! |
Based on this logic, since I’m not in the military, I don’t need to fill out the form. No form, no payment. I work in the private sector so won’t get money whether I fill out the form or not |
If you are not military or a federal government employee, you check “none” and return it. If you are military or federal, then turn it in and get federal money for FCPS. That way, Fairfax County doesn’t have to raise taxes as much to pay for your children to get an education. NoVA complains incessantly about the amount of taxes paid especially compared to the rest of VA. You can bet that the rest of VA is filling out their federal impact forms to get money for its schools. |
It seems like people are upset that FCPS is asking non-Federal impact families to fill out the form. However, FCPS doesn't have any way to know which families would qualify for federal money or not until everyone fills out the form. It takes no time at all, and you can even do it online. |
Huh. If it was 3 million this year, at least a 3rd of that would have been blown on rezoning, with a 5 million no bid contract, plus all the overtime paid to the 2-3 dozen fcps employees st every meeting. Does 3 million even cover the locker room/bathroom/boys in girls sports lawsuit? Or the countless other frivolous or political lawsuits that FCPS regularly engages in? I really haven't seen FCPS manage their money well. |
Huh. If it was 3 million this year, at least a 3rd of that would have been blown on rezoning, with a 1/2 million dollar no bid contract, plus all the overtime paid to the 2-3 dozen fcps employees st every meeting. Does 3 million even cover the locker room/bathroom/boys in girls sports lawsuit? Or the countless other frivolous or political lawsuits that FCPS regularly engages in? I really haven't seen FCPS manage their money well. |
If FCPS wasn't wasting money suing over this bathroom thing, then we could have our spdcial ed funds. It is not complicated. Give the boys access to the single stall bathrooms and let the girls have their all female locker rooms. |
The rest of Virginia is not wasting money on stupid lawsuits or angering their families with an expensive, unnecessary county wide rezoning. |

The part I find annoying is that it clearly says, if you are NOT connected NO NEED to fill out the form.
But we are nagged incessantly. Just be redone to say: please fill this out to let us know, are you military connected or not? |
Lol! I like how you think |
Without the additional military funding, FCPS will spend MORE of your tax money doing whatever they do. So they’re really hitting you in the pocket. |
| What if FCPS first changes its calendar to reflect the working conditions of the people it wants to do its paperwork? No one cares about Federal employees bleeding money without getting paid to cover childcare in FCPS insane schedule, but has the nerve to ask for help getting more money? Yeah no thanks. Show some respect. |
