No Fall MAP report on ParentVue yet?

Isn't it 11/3 professional day with school off? Maybe they will post MAP result next Monday.

What is the rush to know the scores? What will you do with them now vs in a few weeks? Not being snarky, genuinely curious as I barely look at the scores when I do get them.

How will you plan your kid's path to multivariable calculus without the scores?!?!

Seriously! Give me my 7 year old’s scores already!

Uhh… sorry that I care about how my kids’ education? lol.

We are only supposed to care to the extent that we remediate our children's challenges quietly. They don't like demands or questions.

My 3rd grader took math on September 25 and reading September 17th. If it shows up on the screen when they are done, it should be automated and it should take hours to get all scores online. Ridiculous.

😂😂 Clearly someone who has no idea about technology system work.

I’m not the PP but maybe you don’t understand how technology works. The PP is right that the scores could in theory be available very quickly to parents

Just because the testing system displays a kid’s score, that has no bearing on the system used to communicate scores reports and other information about students to parents. Additionally, just because your kid has their score, that doesn’t tell how they’ve done against other in their school or the district which is also information that is shared on the report. If all you want is your child’s score, ask your child’s teacher.

Well, still no scores today.

I looked back and there have been years, like 2021, where they weren't posted until 11/12.

But in the past three years it was all in Oct. With Oct 15th the earliest. Just checked and still nothing...

On a different thread about the delays in MCAP scores, I think someone mentioned that the position for the person in charge of testing was vacant this year...

Literally the only times you need to care are CES selection year (grade 3), fall of grade 5 (for MS magnets), and maybe fall of grade 8 if you have certain HS programs in mind that may be changing anyway. The rest is noise.

Thanks for explaining to us when we need to care. Some of us actually want to see how our kids are progressing, and are interesting not just for the sake of a magnet program.

+1 for those of us whose kids are behind (but not enough to get help from MCPS) the test results can help with working with tutors to develop a program to help our kids
