Northwood also has "public service" (encompassing education) and the Middle College program.

Wow. We keep dropping bombshells, don’t we, Dr. Taylor?

You are building the plane as you fly! For no reason. Slow down!

+1 this is so ridiculous.

Wow, that's really disappointing. It's a brand-new school that cost $150m+ to build, and capacity for 2,200+ students.

It also gets the interest based public service program and the interest based Middle College (MC?) program.

Northwood should have the humanities program. Not frigging Whitman! My goodness, how out of touch are they?

They are really going all in on the "screw the DCC" this year, aren't they?

It'll also have its existing local programs.

They just changed again. Who can keep up?

They keep saying it's an iterative process, so expect changes to happen.

Pardon if this is a dumb question but is “humanities” = IB? Or what is it?

The 25 clusters have not been given adequate say about
-whether they agree with their region assignment,
-how they feel about programs allocation,
-the shake-up of the renown existing programs, -how they feel about not being able to access the renown existing programs, etc.
A finalized regional plan next month(!) does not give communities time to give meaningful voice for a plan that would effect big changes.

A plan may sound good on paper but it is highly likely that there are multiple critical factors MCPS did not consider in its haste to ram this plan through. This seems in bad faith.

Brand new and not up online yet. The changes I remember is that they are sending the criteria-based humanities program from BCC (bad) to Whitman (much worse), and that they are letting Einstein keep only the music part of the performing arts magnet (theater and dance at Northwood.)
