Both are true |
(and because I don't have an extra $200k per kid to cover the difference) |
Actually, oos UVA very much belongs on this list. Pseudo-prestige — and southern cosplay — is the only reson oos parents would pay private school tuition for a state school. |
LOL, I'm gonna pay 200k more for, what, Tulane over UVA? hahahahahaha |
They provide a better education than a flagship with 300+ students in a classroom. Flagships are for cheap parents. |
For some, it’s a plus, as is the location, |
too bad you're poor |
*according to my made-up Saturday night wine-induced definition that only I know about but can't remember at the moment. buh-urp |
95% of classes at a state flagship doesn't have 300+ students in them. The remaining 5% that might are basic classes like general chemistry and calculus. If your snowflake needs a small class size to be educated in them, they suck as a student anyway. |
You're going to have to quote them, because I'm not seeing the numbers you're seeing. The burden of proof is on YOU, because YOU started it. |

UVA and UMD both have higher acceptance rates than any institution on OP's list. Would OP care to cite other state Us? Is OP going to change their tune and say that acceptance rate doesn't matter per se, because State Us are so much cheaper, it makes them better deals? That would be a different argument. |
The OP is talking out of his a** He has no cogent arguments. |
Well, BU is at least near prestigious (other schools in the area). |
+1 |
Oh lord, the UVA booster has sniffed out yet another thread on which to display his/her insecurity. |
