My child goes to a competitive urban private and has a teacher who I know could teach it if necessary. But this school, despite having plenty of kids going to Ivies, feels no need to rush kids through, so has nothing like this. Kids feel plenty "challenged" without having to take countless theoretically college level classes in high school.

I immediately knew it was my kids’ HS. Very, very few HSs offer organic chem.

these aren’t really advanced just different. Orgo at the high school level, if not significantly tweaked, would ruin your senior year. It’s very likely it’s a massively scaled down version.

It’s not college curriculum, it’s a high school curriculum demonstrating that you are ready for college classes. Orgo or any of those advanced high school courses can help with demonstrating rigor. Any of these advanced courses need prerequisite and satisfying grades to enroll.
