This. My daughter asked me last weekend, how is he not dead yet?

Oh wow. I had a notable shopping experience last week at Key Foods on the Upper West Side —they were playing “War Pigs” on the soundtrack. RIP Oz Man.

Wiki says she died on July 16 at age 87.

I'm 55 and still have no idea who she is.
I'm 54 and also have no idea who she is. I just googled and now I have an idea; she's the lady whose song is viral on TikTok right now. That 'pretty little baby' song. I had never heard of that song prior.

For real? Did your parents ever listen to music? She was huge. I’m 55 and I totally know her.
I'm black, so I think that's why. My parents always had music playing at home. At that time it would have been Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, and The Drifters. Although my first memories are disco and R&B artists from the 70s.

He must have had some kind of genes that would have taken him to 100 had he lived a healthier (more boring) life. 76 is impressive for his lifestyle.

Not unnoticed. Noticed by a different group of people.

Same here. 55, definitely know her.

It was a great show. Despite the craziness they were likable and seemed to be a loving family, either because they are or because it was edited to be believable.

I’m 52 and barely know her name. My parents were older so kind of old for list listening to her. And she didn’t get a peanut commercial gig like Annette Funnicello who we all knew.

Fifty here and same. I think the singers I know and revere who are older are the ones my parents listened to regularly: Willie Nelson, Roberta Flack, Doc Watson, The Bee Gees, Carole King, James Taylor. Which is not to knock anyone, it's just to say that your early non-radio musical influences growing up in the era of records are going to be quite specific. Who knows how that will change now, though, with any artist at your fingertips with music streaming services.

He actually had some Neanderthal genes. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ozzy-osbournes-genome-reveals-hes-kin-of-neanderthals/

RIP to the Prince of Darkness. His music will live forever. And he was a genuinely kind person, a family man, and an active member of the Church of England!

Yep, and ge didn't die from overdose or heart failure (despite decades of drugs and alcohol), but Parkinson.

Actually he had Parkinson-ism, which is not Parkinsons itself but a collection of Parkinson like symptoms caused by long term drug use.
