Anyone else going to start tipping 0 post OBBB?

This. These places expecting a tip when I serve myself went too far. Similar with QR codes. Same when there’s a built in 20% degree n the bill at a nice restaurant. I may still tip, but it’s for good service or someone working hard who I want to appreciate rather than obligation

I don't get why people are so excited to punch down and stop tipping. Most restaurant workers are not wealthy and waiting tables is hard work. I have a nice office job now and I worked WAY HARDER when I was a server and bartender than I ever have in my nice office job where I can sit/stand whenever I feel like it, go to the bathroom whenever I want, take a little break to get coffee, and oh yeah, people are generally nice and treat me with basic respect all day!

Some of you are so hateful for no reason.

People are just sick and tired of “give me” culture. I wish we were like other countries. No tips! Period. Pay the workers fair wages but no tips!!

It’s not give me culture. Tipping your server is understood to be part of the social contract.
If this contract includes paying for ever-shrinking portions of overpriced food with the expectation I will pay an extra 15% or more for someone to fill a glass with water and bring food to my table [i]which is their durn job to do[/], and pay about 10% in food tax and sales tax on top of it all, you can keep your social contract.

I have opted out. I refuse to feel extorted and ripped off for a simple meal where in some cases I am expected to get my own eating utensils and clear the table myself.

A restaurant is not a charity. If a waitress wants extra money, she can rub my feet. I’d tip extra for that.

Why? Many restaurant servers make below minimum wage because they’re expected to receive tips. That’s their only incentive for having the job.

We’ve got an administration full of people who find every loophole imaginable- both legal and not- to avoid paying taxes. Why are you so worried about the little guy doing the same?

I don't eat out at all anymore.

If I did eat out I would probably not tip or tip much less (I've always over tipped), but I would still tip the same for a haircut.

You people are going to be so mad that “no one wants to work anymore” when there is no one left willing to wait on you.

We don't eat out anymore. I don't miss it.

Right? Meanwhile every millionaire and billionaire is taking public handouts, scamming, cheating on their taxes, and treating their employees (if they have any) like dirt.

Make me a millionaire or billionaire and I will tip 40% every time.

The bankruptcy filing of Burger King supports your statement.

Did Trump pass this law just to help out all his strippers? They must have lobbied him.

If they were really making less than the min wage they’d make elsewhere, we wouldn’t have any servers
