Just like the Federal workers can find other jobs right? Some of you are such hypocrites. |
+1 I will feel just fine looking back at my decisions during this time. |
You’re an idiot. DP |
Yes, I think they really feel your support. It's coming through. |
+100 Thank you. In almost every single case, it’s the performer(s) canceling, not being cancelled. The hyperbole is beyond tiresome. |
I pesonally know people in the NSO and they are not thrilled with the arrangement and would happily perform elsewhere if they can figure it all out. |
I'm sure another Kennedy Center type venue will appear somewhere and they will figure it all out. Until then they'll probably keep performing at the Kennedy Center to get paid. |
TOTALLY different and you know it. |
DP. Please cite exactly how TKC is discriminating against the LGBTQ community. Every cancelled act has been cancelled BY THE PERFORMERS. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/kennedy-center-releases-list-of-some-performances-canceled-in-last-6-months/3861475/ |
DP- I plan to attend NSO concerts at Wolftrap this summer. |
How is that relevant to anything? Are you suggesting they can move their primary performance home to Wolf Trap? Maybe construct a bubble for them. |
No they can’t. This is ridiculous. “Just get a job at another major orchestra!” Lol |
I definitely understand why artists would choose not to perform at the Kennedy Center. I will still support the NSO and possibly some other performances. I don't think boycotting our NSO is the answer and they absolutely cannot easily find other similar jobs. |
Major artists (Ben Folds) can find other similar venues, yes. Not the members of the NSO. Can you really not see this? Boycott if you must, but acknowledge the position that many of the musicians are in. |
