OP here. It is an obscene amount of money to spend, I think, but DH likes to splurge. He can’t stand the heat, doesn’t want to deal with all the other tourists, hates the
early morning lounge chair reservation game with people’s personal stuff, and plans to work the whole time while the kids hang out at the pool. We’re going over the 4th of July so he figures it will be extremely crowded and we might appreciate a safe haven from the heat and madness. The Venetian cabanas have A/C, WiFi, a private bathroom, lots of seating, and actual walls and doors vs. curtains. He won’t use the plunge pool (aka, glorified hot tub), but it might be nice for me and the kids if the main pool is overrun by tourists.
