| Agree with PP. Our drive has almost doubled in the last year. |
Only someone who lives in the burbs would describe Potomac as “right over the bridge.” Crossing the bridge is just the first step in the slog out to Potomac. |
Our rule is do not commute (for work, school, or whatever) across a bridge on a daily basis. That said, Potomac really is just across the Chain Bridge. Perhaps PP was thinking about the 495 bridge? |
We cross a bridge and the commute was always 10 min with about 15 different routes to get there—at least 3 different bridges. 4 miles from Arlington to our HS. It was quicker than when we actually lived in NW. |
This. Traffic in the last 3 months is the wurst it’s ever been—native Washingtonian. I would seriously do the commute on a Tues-Thursday at the same time in the morning u would need to leave and then an evening/afternoon commute (school sports/activities) and now seriously imagine doing this day in day out for 4 years. |

That was us until this year. It’s been an absolute sh@tshow. |
| Same question |
| Pick Prep. Very good culture and clear and consistent mission. Faculty have been there for ages and care deeply about the institution. Potomac has changed a lot recently and their mission seems very unclear—a school in an identity crisis. |
Are you Catholic? A Prep legacy? (any family member will do) Mother a graduate of another local Catholic high school. Member of a local parish? Originally from the area? Member of Columbia CC or Congressional CC? Looking to send DS to a Catholic college? None of these are requirements, of course. But the GP parent and alumni base check a lot of these boxes. Potomac would be a very different group. |

Both are good schools. We would choose to commute across the river either way for any school.

No, it’s not. It’s up a windy two lane road. |
