| Once the fork goes into effect, expect a whole lot of litigation from individual plaintiffs who have standing. Feds who took it but changed their mind. Feds who are ordered to be in the office despite having taken the fork. All sorts of situations. This will be a litigation mess. |

Yep, this. Also, we just had a mass firing at my agency. Some people, anticipating it, had already taken the Fork offer. So it apparently gave them no protection and makes me think others will just get fired even after voluntarily resigning. |

I heard today that my agency is exploring options to offer VERA solo. |

I was wondering the same thing. The fact that they changed the rules after many had already submitted "resign" seems unfair. The original rule, and the reason many may have gone ahead with submitting, was that they would not have to RTO. They presented it as if it were a seamless transition without RTO. Now, the way my agency is presenting it is that it could be several weeks/months before those who opted in begin the fork. They are giving agencies time to prep, review the list, and make adjustments. It could be April/May/whenever before that's complete, so they won't receive eight months, and in the meantime, they still have to come into the office. |

Mine is offering it but only if you take the Fork. I think you would be safe though if you took the Fork then accelerated your resignation to say March 1 and then you'd be retired on a VERA. |
