I understand feeling like both sides are extreme but a vote for trump was a vote for evil and cruelty. What you wrote is a contradiction. You voted for extreme MAGA the right side that has swung back into 1938. Are trans people really hurting you that much? Does someone putting pronouns on their email keep you up at night. Eyes wide open because what is happening now will get worse and hurt all of us deeply. You voted against human decency.

No one who voted for male criminals to be admitted to women's prisons, where they have raped and impregnated women, gets to tell me that I voted against decency. You don't know right from wrong. I agree with all of this. But as to the bolded, many, many women have said they consider cis, menstruator, etc to be slurs. That has not been respected at all. In fact, women who politely said they didn’t like those terms have been told to shut up and worse from trans rights advocates. Some got rape threats for that. I’m not defending Mace’s use of the slur, but I see very little reflection from trans rights advocates for their use of demeaning slurs.

I think there needs to be some accountability across the board here.

She’s not just some yahoo on twitter. She’s is a committee meeting that has rules of decorum. Fetterman can’t wear a sweatshirt, but she can use slurs? Give me a break.

Yes, and liberal Democratic politicians have used the word cis or referred to women by their body parts. I’m not defending Mace’s use of the slur. I’m someone who is horrified by the destruction of same-sex rights and protections (and what has happened to children) but who also reports the use of that same slur here whenever I see it. Slurs are unacceptable.

What I am saying is that Mace is hardly alone in using terms that some groups involved with this issue consider deeply insulting. So, if you are upset with Mace, I hope you are equally upset with other politicians who use terms that many women consider deeply offensive.

She is correct that it was appalling of the Democrats to hand a moral and ethical victory to Trump that 80 to 95% of the country agrees with. I do not know why the Democratic elite has dug in on taking a flatly misogynist position. Even people who are defenders of trans rights, including some trans people themselves, believe this is the right thing to do.

Personally, I don’t really care how grown adults what to dress, call themselves, or identify. But I want kids to be left alone without all the gender identity talk in schools. It is so so overblown. Please don’t tell my kindergarten they can pick their gender or not be either. Gender education should be 100% left up to parents in how they want to discuss it with their child. Perhaps it’s appropriate to talk about in as part of the sex ed curriculum that parents consent to (or opt out of), but gender ideology has no place in elementary school- beyond the teacher and classmates being respectful of each other

All of this. Democrats' attitudes towards women are so disgusting, disrespectful, and flat-out evil. I don't care what Trump does. I will never, ever again vote for the Democratic party. We're supposed to be going crazy over abortion when not all women will get pregnant. All women will use women's spaces and need services dedicated to women at some point in their lives, if not throughout our lives. But that reality is inconvenient for Democrats, so who cares, right?
