Can you speak more to that, and what the LS culture is like? We are at Friends, and unhappy for a variety of reasons, but at least we are not (in LS) dealing with overt Trumpism.

We are in US and we did not see/hear anything abnormal post-election.

I’m surprised so many people look at McD and Gilman- I know they’re only 10ish miles apart but w traffic that’s a lot! Maybe if I had a 9th grader applying we would have considered it, but just couldn’t fathom considering schools so far away and locking us into that commute.

If you had applied as a full pay you'd probably walk into either schools. Even after admissions ends, for K-8 there's probably a space or two held open for latecomers. Maybe harder for 9th grade.

Yes, people look at both Gilman and McD. Baltimore is not that big and getting around is not complicated. McDonogh also has busses.

The mcdonogh bus is a beautiful and wonderful thing.

We’ve been at Gilman since kindergarten, now in upper school. Would never expect to see that behavior. In fact, I’ve heard conservative parents grumble about how marginalized they feel because most families are so liberal.

So while I don’t doubt what the previous poster’s daughter saw, my guess is that it was a couple of boys going for teenage shock value, simply because it is an anomalous.

Yeah, I know some ppl love it, but I’d worry my kiddo would get carsick, or restless, etc.

I received a birthday message when my daughter had her birthday last weekend. Could this be a good sign that my girls might be admitted to Bryn Mawr? I would be excited if they got accepted, but we also applied to McDonogh.
