I don't wish for snow days but I also understand and I'm ok with why counties close for weather? It happens and you all are not the first generation to experience this. If the roads are dangerous your kids arent' going to school. why are mothers tantruming over this every snow storm?

DP. There are other people on here very clearly stating they want as many closures as possible. Probably teachers. And probably others here who are snow nerds and/or have anxiety that are not hoping for closures but merely obsessing over the possibility. Some strange people here for sure.

What upcoming snowstorm is going to make the roads unsafe? I don’t see anything. It’s sounds like certain apps are inaccurate with their history of wild predictions so not sure why anyone puts stock in those. I do see negative wind chills predicted for next week with temps in the low double digits. I do not know the temp at which buses do not start but I wouldn’t think the wind chill necessarily matters for that. If the temps in 2013-2014 and 2018 were similar to what’s predicted for next week then it seems possible. No one is weighing in with actual data. They’re framing their hopes as confident predictions. Very odd.

I am flying my American flag upside down on Monday. Good enough for Fuhrer Alito, good enough for me.

That's ridiculous.

Not the PP but not ridiculous at all. America voted in a convicted felon, rapist and insurrectionist. Enjoy the snow next week!

Me too!

It's unfortunate it's in mlk day. Symbolism may be misinterpreted.

What's very odd is that you are giving this as much thought as you are. I don't care.

Why are you here if you don’t care? Please.

Weather models show single digital temps Tues to Thurs. I imagine schools will open late, or not open. Some kids are walkers to school, regardless of the buses.

Because high school is hard and my kids can use the extra day to rest and catch up.

Delay maybe. It’ll get into the 20s so no need to close the whole day.

But it won’t get into the 20s until after 12pm…

Your kids just had four days off last week and they already need another one? Sounds like they bit off more than they can chew in terms of courses. Which is a choice even if you think they “had” to in order to get into a certain type of college. That or they lack time management or executive functioning skills. Maybe teach them to understand their own limits or help them develop skills for managing an high workload instead of hoping an entire school system has off all the time. They will be much better off in college if they have tools to manage this, as opposed to learning that when it’s hard they should take a day off.

They won't do that. They have 3 days to do that, and they won't. MY 1st grader and 5th grader have fun when they go to school they CANT BE HOME ALL DAY. TIME FOR them to go back to school they missed like 6 days this year.

They’ve been back how many days and already need a break? Good luck in college if they make it that far

I love delays. The kids are more awake for 1st block and there is SO MUCH FLUFF in a 90 minute period to keep kids engaged that we get through the same amount in a 60 minute delay block.
