Which HS has the best crew program?

I rowed at a top private school New England crew program in the 1990s (Exeter) and also was recruited and rowed for an Ivy and I never have ever vomited from rowing- even at nationals and interschols. We practiced 5 days per week. After school. And we’re back for dinner and evening study hours or music programs. Regattas on weekends. Winter training was optional and many of my teammates were actually in other winter varsity sports like swimming and waterpolo during the winter. Seeing what crew has become for young students is disturbing. It prohibits well-rounded athletes and young humans. It also encourages overuse injury.

Correct me if I’m missing another team’s accomplishment, but I believe Justice Rowing was the only FCPS team to win a medal at Nationals this year (took 2nd in Women’s Jr. Quad). Justice sent three boats to Nationals—was great to see lots of other FCPS teams there!

How are the club programs for a girls coxswain? Any one better than the others? Someone mentioned DC Nations but I haven’t actually seen them win much.

Justice did ok last season. But until very recently, the top rowing program was at TJ.
