How does this post make sense at all? You must still be drunk after the elections. |
Oh yes, avoid these two!!!! |
You see zero skills in games. Seriously, none of those kids are using any individual skills in their matches. When pressured, the only thing SYC players know to do is pass or boot it. That’s about it. But they hardly ever have the ball though. Their MO, which they’re good at, is steal/intercept the ball and hoof it to a striker. Again, if that plays to your players strength, SYC is a great club for that. |
It’s true, very few SYC players get keep up with the competition once everyone catches up with speed and size. |
That's a general statement. 2010 seemed to have kept up with DC United u15 team pretty well the last time they met. The matches are always close when these two age groups play against each other. |
Why not Alexandria? They looks pretty good. There’s no subs on Alexandria like the one Achilles? Thx |
I don’t doubt that there are some amazing players on SYC. They’d be good regardless of club. But it’s the rest who are not getting developed bc there are no opportunities to use whatever skills they’ve developed on their own. SYC doesn’t attempt to play possession-based soccer which is what you play if you want players to practice using their skills under pressure. Can you share what SYC’s game style/philosophy is? |
What do you mean there are no subs on Alexandria? All MLSNext teams have subs. |
Meant to say no subject in the forum on Alexandria |
I wonder if that’s a good thing or bad thing? Alexandria has this playing philosophy of building from the back. A coach told me it’s implemented through all age groups and the director checks on the coaches to make sure they’re adhering to it. DS practiced with them and offered a spot on the top team but we decided not to join them. You should just go and practice with the team so u can watch the pracrticrs and see if ur player fits in and likes it. |
This is 100% true. SYC only cares about winning so they can go and post on social media. |
What are the best clubs if your son wants to go pro? We have a talented but overlooked player who needs a break. He needs to find That Coach who sees him as That Player. He has been passed over multiple times by players that were clearly less talented than him and now his confidence is in the toilet. His team does not have an ECNL or MLS next track looking in Montgomery County Maryland |
Achilles. |
Wtf? Not true. My kid played SYC mlsnext u18/19 and is playing d1 this year. We have a u17 kid. We have been at many clubs. The kids here all have really good individual skill and first touch. It’s what we noticed coming from some other “name clubs”. They know they can pass and put a ball to someone else on the team and they won’t lose it , they will be on the right place, make the run, etc. The kids are great 1v1 too. |
So your kid was developed at SYC? |
