Understanding Merit Aid Possibilities OOS

For those depending on merit, will you also be applying for financial aid? Or strictly looking at merit?

We were shocked actually. Ended up choosing UMD. CS major. 50% tuition discount at Lehigh. Maybe stats favorable (3.98/4.5, 1560)? Visited campus prior to application. BU it might have been NMSF. Also applied Data Science rather than CS. They just built a monster DS building and figured they needed to fill it! IDK?

We submitted FA app to privates only. Didn't bother with public. Didn't get anything
