I’m not a big “don’t recline” person, but …

It's the people who recline that are complaining? news to me.

Do you want me to quote the indignant responses? I will, if you actually require it.

By indignant you mean responses to people like the one calling us horrible people for reclining and equating it to us being horrible drivers, cutting in line, yelling at everyone nutsos?

No, I mean the ones who don't know how to take the W and shut the F up so they don't look like a$$holes.

Because there is always someone calling us morally deficient for using the two inches of space that we are entitled to. So take your own advice and STFU.

Did you read what I typed?

Are you the "I don't give a rats ass" guy? You know that none of those things were said until you dropped that pleasant gem, so basically you started it.

Take the W - that stands for "the win" if you don't know - recline your seat, and enjoy your flight.

^^obnoxious. what makes you more special than everyone else? nobody has their seat reclined other than 1 or 2 very tall men, who I don’t begrudge.

What do you mean? Everyone has the option to recline, special has nothing to do with it

Look around you. Ask yourself why you are behaving differently than others and what entitles you to do that.

The price of my ticket and the seat options allow me to do that. I don't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else does.

There are so many people like you and you make life unnecessarily unpleasant. It's not about the reclining. It's this self-absorbed attitude. You also likely are a terrible driver, cut lines, think the rules don't apply to you, and yet complain loudly when you don't get your way. Honestly, you are a selfish jerk and you suck.

You may be the most un-self aware person on the planet. Someone is doing something completely within their rights and that makes you mad - who’s the selfish jerk? Since you’re so clueless I’ll answer that for you - you are the selfish jerk. And none too bright to boot.

As an extremely short woman I will say that many types of seating are clearly not made for short people. For example some airplane seats curve in a way that pushes my head forward a bit (because I don’t quite reach the headrest.) in those cases reclining can be more comfortable

I am GENUINELY a DP, and it is my guess that what made him mad was the "I don't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else does." comment. The OP's original comment, which I do not agree with, was fairly benign.

But in the original thread you’re replying to, the first answer was benign. The person said “yes I do. Every time.” And the response to that was “obnoxious. What makes you more special than everyone else?”

So no. S/he was rude from the start.

The "I don't give a rat's ass" was me and I'm not OP. That was in response to "look around you and make sure you're doing what everyone else is doing" instruction. So if everyone else decides to stand, I should do the same? How about if everyone else decides to jump up and down?

Another shorty here and this is exactly right.

Hi, I'm an extremely short woman. Yes, it is necessary. You know how airline seats have a natural curve with the little protruding part meant to support the head a and neck area? Well you see, because I am extremely short, the curve of the chair hits my body in a way that I'm actually pitched forward when the chair is in the upright position. So yeah, I'm going to recline all flight long.

Do you read the comments you reply to? I agree it is your right to recline and no you need not do as others do, and said so several times. It's the "I don't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else does" that I find not only distasteful but lowers you to the position you object to. It's self-defeating. If there was not one single response to OP you'd have had the win you clearly require for some reason.

There was no reason to go "I don't give a rat's ass what you or anyone else does".

And before you respond to that I know you don't give a rats ass about that either. But maybe you should.

Because I think people should be nicer and better here than you were being. You over-reacted 100%. And now you choose to insult me, that's fine, that is your prerogative as well. So I won't comment on this any more as you request. But my point has been made.

I love how you made a leap from me doing something that is completely within my right, but you just don't like so it must be wrong, to me breaking the law and doing stuff that is clearly wrong ("breaking traffic laws, cutting in line, etc.). Perhaps come back to reality and we have a civil conversation instead of being hysterical.

The airline gives me a seat that reclines. Not sure why you think those two inches make you a morally superior person because you sound like a fool.

Because there are also rules that normal people follow in public spaces to make things run smoothly. Not the law, but clueless/rude to violate them.
