Of course that's what MCPS is saying. Just talk to any Oyster parent. |
Why would "any Oyster parent" know what may have been going on with his family? |
Stop being dense. |
I work for DCPS. I don’t know why Pineda resigned but I can tell you he sucks. He is a terrible hire unfortunately. He does not belong in education. |
He literally quit in the middle of parent virtual meeting. It caused chaos. Then school was notified that he can’t actually quit until he gives notice to central office, which he had not done when he finally lost it. All of it was unprofessional and nuts. Teachers loathed him. MCPS, like DCPS is just as desperate for staff..it’s a revolving door of mediocre admin. |
Hopefully an enterprising parent recorded the meltdown and is willing to share it with the board. |
He’ll suck as the principal at nix, but it will be too late. Mcps will be stuck with him and move him to central office when they realize he cannot run a school. He will earn a paycheck doing nothing at the loss of about four teachers. I bet he’s hoping this is what happens. |
Grace Rivera Oven has been very vocal about wanting to hire principals who are demographic matches for their school communities. She has even voted against candidates for this reason. |
I understand and know the value of promoting diverse candidates that reflect the changing demographics of our county, but it's a horrible trend that HR and board members are selecting candidates - or rejecting candidates - based on race. Pick the best person for the job, period. |
Welll, she’s an idiot if she thinks that trumps the candidates proven track record to do the job. Vote her out. |
Parent at Oyster here. Pineda is the worst. Dislike kids (specially little kids), is a liar, is incompetent, manipulates, has tantrums, is disliked by everyone!! |
He is Hispanic though so I guess he fits what MCPS was looking for |
Come on, MCPS, do better! |
You are assuming they are rejecting better persons. Parents and community are include in the interview process. |
There are other candidates in the pipeline. They do not need to hire people with known problematic histories. |
