JD Vance as VP

Anyone got a non-paywalled link to David Frum’s article in The Atlantic about Vance? It looks really good.

Because a best selling author with a Ron Howard produced biopic made about him, who was beloved by even mainstream Dems until he ran for the Senate, would be so horrible, right? I’m sure he’d do nothing to win votes in the Midwest or that his Indian America wife would have zero cachet in a place like NoVA and other places with large Indian and South Asian communities.

Dems liked him as a documentarian into Trumptopia, not as a political leader.

The point is that he’d get Trump way more votes than someone like Mike Pence. He’d also crush Kamala Harris in a debate.

Kamala Harris: former prosecutor.

J.D. Vance: grievance-holding guy who wrote a book.

With a Yale law degree and experience in Silicon Valley. It's not like he's some random grievance peddler. And your attitude shows why former working class whites don't want to vote for Democrats. Their "grievances" and declining standard of living are real. Maybe you should listen.

They want to vote for an Ivy-League-graduate venture-capitalist [white] man of the [white] people!

What are you talking about? His book got panned for being a fraud.

Marine Corps veteran. Lawyer. Venture capitalist. Ivy League grad. Father.

And that book he wrote resonated with millions of Americans. I think he has a better hold on the average American conscience than Kamala does.

Think what you will of his politics, but don't diminish his accomplishments.

Howard grad. Lawyer. Prosecutor. Vice president. Stepmother. (Kamala Harris, that is.)

I'm not diminishing his accomplishments (aside from "venture capitalist", which is neither an accomplishment nor a qualification for understanding average Americans). I just think your assessment that he'd "crush Kamala Harris in a debate" is ridiculous.

Puhlease. He would destroy her.

That idiot would not destroy her by any stretch of the imagination. I do remember how she destroyed your pal Brett "I LIKE BEER" Kavanaugh!

Kamala destroyed Brett Kavanaugh? The same guy who is on SCOTUS for life? That guy?

Who paid kavanughs debts???
He’s on SCOTUS bec he lied and bec he got his debts paid don’t get it confused. The man and his shit wife owed millions!

Since you missed the bus and are still standing at thge stop, I'll ask again.

You think the loser is the one who sits on the SC, not the impotent joke of a lady who has been muzzled for 4 years because her own party knows what a fool she is?

Such a stupid comment. If you look back for as long as anyone can remember, the vp of every administration has, for the most part, been invisible for fear of them saying something stupid or upstaging the president. VPs have "disappeared" for as long as I can remember for every single party.

The fool is anyone who thinks Kamala Harris is a fool. You might disagree with her, you might hate her, but fool she is not.

JD Vance doesn't possess the right degree of obsequiousness and blind obedience that the orange dumba** requires. Only Tim Scott possesses that quality.

JD Vance is the protege of "Tiger Mom" Amy Chua and a beneficiary of conservative affirmative action. He wasn't a great student by Yale Law School standards. Kamala Harris had a real job as a prosecutor. She is a good debater.

At least you're admitting his elitist background, which he likes to hide.

He talks about it endlessly in the book.

He's the idiot's version of an intellectual. So I guess the GOP will love him.
Anonymous
I hope he doesn't get the nomination because my parents loved that book and movie even though they hate Trump and that makes me nervous that people buy the absolute crock of $hit Vance sells about his hard scrabble background and his family (the reality looks pretty different but doesn't sell as well).

I guess he's not dumb enough to put the truth in his biography like Governor Dog Murderer over there, so maybe he has an extra 20 brain cells to rub together? I don't want anyone who makes a Trump presidency more likely.

Ivy educated, wrote book, served in Congress. Sounds as ready as Jack Kennedy was.
