BBT pretended to be celebrating nerd and geek culture, but actually was mocking them mercilessly but left crumbs like this to complete the illusion. And everyone was so darn mean to each other all the time, so much casual cruelty and cynicism. My experience with geeks is we are generally pretty nice to each other and have a shared camaraderie — I mean have you ever been to a Star Trek convention, with its utopian optimism for the future and everyone getting along? CBS shows in general are awful, esp their laugh track multi camera jobs. |
Lol. We're an MIT family too, and we love BBT! |
I dislike Modern Family. |
Sex in the City |
Same for Billions. Same for Yellowstone. Same show over and over and over and over. |
Suits started off good though. |
Mad Men was so overwritten and cringe. I can't help but laugh at the pseudo intellect midwits who loved that crap. |
Friends.
Utter garbage. |
It’s Sex AND The City. And I loooooved this show in my late 20s. Was a complete guilty pleasure. But I just started a rewatch since it is now steaming on Netflix and…..it is so so so so terrible in the way that it tries to be progressive and feminist but fails miserably! It’s shallow and petty and every single one of them is pining for a man in the most embarrassing “pick me, love me, I’ll be the girl you need” kind of way that it’s so embarrassing and vapid and soulless. It’s meant to show glamor and the romance of NYC meets the runway if the fashion world but it ends up just showcasing and glamorizing the absolute worst of humanity. It’s nearly unwatchable and it makes me sad. Sadder still is the realization that a whole decade of women entered their post-college life viewing the lives of the women in this show as aspirational. Depressing. |

I really wanted to like it… |
Schitt‘s Creek is a treasure. Could not get into the good place. Haven’t watched any of the others. |
I didn’t like any part of Bridgerton, starting from episode one. I don’t get any of the hype. Is it because they “reimagined” Black people being the ruling class of Regency era Britain?
Let’s just pretend all that suffering and generations of forced servitude didn’t happen. Okay. |
