You're saying that she's transitioned and you think she's still faster than most boys? Is this a social transition or a medical transition? Most trans girls/women have lower testosterone than cis girls/women and certainly don't have the same muscle strength as men. If she's taking estrogen, she probably can't compete with the boys/men and likely chooses not to compete against girls/women due to the current political climate around trans girls and women in sports. |
Sure they will. They will be on T. They may be on a dose of T higher than some of the cis males are making naturally. My relative started the transition earlier than in high school, but he has never had any issues making various boy's teams. |
+1 A lot of people here are commenting based on stereotypes of trans people while they quite obviously have no experience. |
By that attitude a kid taking testosterone couldn’t be on either gendered team right? |
How competitive were they? At the college level, I can only think of one female to male athlete on a sports team, a swimmer, and she was allowed to switch from the girls to the boys team more or less because to not give a slot was transphobic. As a girl, she was excellent. As a boy, towards the bottom. Just going on testosterone is not enough to make up for the other physical advantages. On the other hand, male to female athletes who switch usually do well, starting with Richard Raskin, a talented amateur tennis player in his youth, who, as Renee Richards, ranked #20 in Women's Tennis at the age of 45. Richards could not have made it into the hundreds on the male circuit at that age. |
They should base the mandate on current sexual organs.

This is the reality. |
