I have all of this now at 45! It came in kind of suddenly, especially the hot flashes.

How did you manage the hot flashes and night sweats? Did you take anything? Did they get better or worse over time?

I finally started taking the pill again.

I'm almost 54. Mine stopped around 52ish, but I had a 9month reprieve where I had no period at 52, I got one after 9months. Then nothing.

Not having my period is the only good thing about being in menopause. Everything else sucks.

I'm 56. I haven't missed a period yet; around 6 days and first 4 are heavy. I am on a 26 or so day cycle so it's gone down from 28-30 I had a sonogram yesterday and she saw a 2 cm polyp. She said it's up to me but she'd probably remove it. It may be contributing to heavier bleeding (or not). I'll probably get it out but was wondering how bad the recovery is for this? It would be out-patient at the hospital with anesthesia. She said it shouldn't be a big deal but I read on-line and it doesn't sound so easy.

I'm having a long drawn out peri, flushing started at 38, night sweats 40, FLOODING periods causing anemia by 44. by age 45-46 cycles which were 28 days got to 21 days, then 31, 32 now this cycle I'm currently 43 days no period for the first time ever. I also have fibroids, a polyp, and endo. Please baby Jesus let this be it. I'm so tired, constipated and miserable (angry, sad, mood swings). Some nights I'm up every 45 minutes when I can fall asleep.

I too am having a long drawn out perimenopause. Like PP I have all those symptoms and I'm 56! I still haven't skipped a cycle and am dealing with heavy bleeding. It's really been a bad 10+ years
