Does my 9yr old really need an expander?

| Two of my three had expanders but not until age 14--it took that long for them to lose all of their baby teeth. My youngest had a crossbite too but didn't need the expanded, which was surprising to me. |

| One of my kids had expander. I understood from orthodontist that it’s better to do it earlier when the jaw is still developing. |
