The alcohol brand owned by someone who doesnt drink?

she did a lifestyle brand called preserve. It only lasted a year

This feels like a reach and the timing of the launch is part of the reason she is not liked. She is so predictable.

Lol. The mishmash of curlicued cursive/fauxligraphy makes it very difficult to read. The name itself is so clunky. They MUST have done a lot of research and spent some real money - this is the best they could do?

Can you explain the connection you're trying to make here?

I think the idea is that their brand was supposed to be charitable, like invictus, mental health, and this is a venture that is out of the blue and not connected to anything either of them are known for.

As I thought, it’s fake outrage.

The name doesn't make sense at all.

I also don't really see them as home/ lifestyle influencers.

I guess we'll see

The link doesn’t work for me, so I’ll comment once I’ve seen the site and it’s had a chance to grow. “Empty as a brand” seems like an odd criticism for something not fully launched— so just generally, I’d see if there’s anything there that grabs my interest, and check in again once something is more fully fledged.

I meant "empty" because she hasn't really positioned herself as a housewares maven. It just seems like an industry the PR team chose and they slapped it together. When I think of Meghan, I don't think of jam, tableware and kitchen linens. I didn't know this was an interest of hers. Seems like a modern day QVC/Kathy Ireland type of set-up to sell stuff.

Ah, got it. I think Meghan’s lifestyle— for lack of a better word — is aspirational for many people. The things she wears often sell out. People who watched their films often talked about the way the Sussex’s house looked or was decorated. I’m not familiar with all of that, but I did like the Tig and tried a few of Meghan’s recipes. I guess this new site may be trying to capitalize on all of that? So perhaps not so much housewares as: Meghan’s stuff. I’ve no idea if something like that will be successful. I, personally, would be turned off by a QVC approach, but probably would appreciate a more woven approach somewhere between the Tig and Oprah’s favorites. I’m likely not the target market for most of this though.

Actually, no to the bolded. Markle’s (clears throat) organic and independent style site Meghan’s Mirror notes items that if more affordable or midrange, are past season and unavailable, not “sold out.” There is no Markle Effect. She does not move designer product. That’s why all the would-be use of Meghan as ambassador to a grand designer brand have never happened, though she certainly tried, specifically with Erdem and Dior.

The name is pretentious. The concept is weird coming from her now. Seems really desperate.

Whoever suggested the wine is a great idea. Should have done that

You don’t see Harry’s tonsure, scalp gleaming like the Pacific waves crashing in the distance from the uh orchard, bent over a row of organic fruit to pick and can for Lilibets Bestest Blackberry Jam? Doesn’t make you want to spring for a bulk order for free shipping?

Tacky. Tack-kay. Like damn.

Had this thought exactly.

Dumb name. Sounds like one of those fake "upscale" brands they sell at Walmart or Target, and that's not her target demographic.

Oh how far they have fallen.

What is her target demographic? I honestly have no legitimate guess.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot???

Is timing bad because Kate is missing? Because the rest of the working royals are carrying on, it seems. A bunch of them went to a F1 race last weekend, and Camilla went on vacation.

When would it be ok for a non-working royal to do non-royal work?
