Totally agree. Very sensitive. Alumnae should call the school if they have questions. Other than that, a matter that occurred 30-50 years ago does not concern anyone else.

Too late. We know the alleged abuser’s name and when the alleged abuse took place. If you don’t want to know additional details, then keep scrolling. But stop trying to police others.

Hopefully you aren’t concerned about the abuser?? Because your post makes it sound like that’s your concern. The victims are people whose information is sensitive.

All of these cases were on hold while the Supreme Court of Maryland addressed the constitutionality of the Child Victims Act, which was upheld in February. There are hundreds of cases filed against public and private schools and institutions.

Would they have named the accused if she weren’t dead? I’m glad they did but curious about the legalities /conventions here

Also, I am someone who believes the Catholic Church should be banned from educating children. But even I can see this letter was very well composed. Others should study the mix of empathy, candor and directness.
