How do I find Amazon wish lists from teachers?

I have been teaching for 6 years and as time goes by I noticed that I was spending a majority of my checks on buying snacks, school supplies, and decor for the classroom. I loved it when I started because I could see that my students would pay more attention when their stomachs were full. They took better care of classroom supplies when they realized that we were running low and I would not be able to restock until my next paycheck. I was also my sensory toys and manipulatives that allowed them a system for rewards. They began to say that they wanted more seats for the classroom or even more decor but it was out of my budget. So if I could get the basic supplies that would be great. I can put together the rest for my students. The supplies will benefit my students and support my teaching goals which is to ensure that they receive rigorous learning opportunities for each of them. The impact that having these resources will have on their learning and engagement will be tremendous. They will feel that the classroom is better equipped to handle all their diverse needs. So here is my list.

You don't need a fancy straw dispenser - just take a cardboard box, let a couple of kids earn the right to tape white paper to the inside and outside and color on it. Seems odd to want fairy lights since school is during the daytime. How often are you turning off the lights in the class?

I am heading into my first full year as an ESL teacher for kindergarteners. Our school has a very high population of students who are not native english speakers. We also have a very high poverty rate in our population.

I started an amazon wish list in the spring, but it was just for myself to keep track of things that I either needed or felt would be a beneficial addition to the learning environment. I have slowly been buying some things off of it since then but I likely am not going to be able to clear the list. Which is okay.

To be honest, I have some mixed feelings about these lists. To this point I have not posted my list on social media like I have seen many of my teacher friends do. I feel a little weird about it because I'm doing ok as far as having most of the essentials (pencils, erasers, glue, etc.). Most of the things left on there would fall under the "beneficial addition" category, which are things that will definitely be useful and educational (alphabet bingo, CVC word activity, conversation cards, etc.) but I also can't say they are absolutely necessary.

With all of that said I will post my list here if anyone truly wants to support, but I definitely understand if people would prefer to find a different list to support; or if you don't really want to participate with these lists I totally get that too. In an ideal world neither teachers nor community members would have to worry about these lists, so just know that if you do help with the wish list for any teacher that you are truly appreciated. Because we know you don't have to do this. I also just realized this is a DC forum and I'm near Philly lol. Sorry about that.

I went to purchase things on your list but it didn't default to your name/address. So I had no way of sending to you. Please update and fix that and then post here to say when it's done and I will try again.

Honest question: When did we start becoming the 3rd world? Was this a frog-in-simmering-water situation? And how do we get out of it?

I am a teacher at a Title 1 school in Baltimore. This year I have been giving my students books for them to keep and it has been a game changer! Struggling readers are enjoying reading at home. Here is a link to my wishlist.

Hi fellow Baltimore teacher! Does your school get visits from the Christ Child Society? They visit our pre-k and kindergarten classes once every 4-6 weeks and bring every student a book they can keep. May be worth looking into!

Does the book have religious overtones? I'd be furious if my child was being given books like that.

Since you’re so close minded maybe homeschool would suit you better.

You posted on June 24, July 8 and July 9. Stop being so greedy. This is very tacky behavior. I hope you don't teach kindergartners to keep begging over and over. Once per school year is plenty.

Why do you need a general list? These will vary a lot by grade and type of population served.
