Another corrupt conservative Supreme Court Justice

Stacking the court didn't work out for them..... time to try a new tactic.

Go after Kavanaugh. FAIL (even an attempted assasination)
Turn to ACB. NO GO
Go after Thomas. DIDN'T WORK
Turn to Gorsuch.
And, work on Roberts at the same time.

Looks like it's Alito's turn next.

They are corrupt hacks. Their opinions are all bullshit, bad law, bad history, bad faith.

We know. We know. Anyone who disagrees with you is a hack. The Constitution be damned!

There are some unintelligent individuals posting here. An accompanying “Statement on Ethics Principles and Practices” signed by all nine justices suggested a united front on the court, one that’s in favor of continuing to police itself.

I’m talking about their written legal opinions. Their legal arguments are not reasonable Constitutional arguments. It’s possible to be conservative and write a well-founded opinion, but the current conservative SC Justices can not that. They just throw out Federalist Society fictions.

Of course none of the Justices want Congress to have authority to judge their ethics because Congress is inherently hyper-political. But so is the Supreme Court and it is losing all credibility because they have been exposed as political hacks bought and paid for. They aren’t policing themselves. They have to establish some standards. Even Congress has standards.

All nine justices signed, so go after all of ‘em, right

Fine by me. I’m not comfortable with corruption at the Supreme Court regardless of which side.

Got to protect the skim. Bet Thomas had to give everyone a little taste just like in a the mob movies.

Get real. While I generally do not agree with Justice Roberts' legal opinions and perspectives, I certainly consider his adoption of 2 children a good thing. No doubt, those children are lucky to have the Roberts as parents.

I agree plus not sure what PP is referring to as international
Adoptions were not only legal but relatively common

U.S. parents adopted one foreign-born child for every 200 births in 2000.

International Adoption Rate in U.S. Doubled in the 1990s | PRB

I’m DP and we adopted internationally in 2000. I think 2000 was the pinnacle year of international adoptions in the U.S. I researched extensively back then and you could not adopt from Ireland back then unless the child was a relative. Certainly I’m no expert though. I would have loved to adopt from Ireland as we are 3/4 Irish. There were two Irish families we met in Russia who said it was difficult to impossible for them to adopt there. This is the first I’ve heard about the Robert’s adoption. Sounds fishy but maybe they are biologically related.

I think his land sale is fishy AF. We can’t continue to have ethically compromised people on the Supreme Court.

If you are so desperate to adopt why go overseas whether are thousands of children this country who needs a loving and stable home?

The facts of the Roberts illegal adoption are in a link on page three of this thread.

You know, I was waiting for one of you mean girls to pipe up with that. We went through a domestic home study and a newborn boy was placed with us at the hospital a couple of hours after his birth in 1997. His mother had cocaine in her system, he was addicted, but otherwise he was healthy. In the U.S. you foster for one year before adoption. For seven months he was ours. I held him and loved him through his drug withdrawal. The law says bio parents are better and the bio mom got his bio father to file for custody. He was not the man she listed on his adoption papers, but the second man was the DNA dad. The boy is now 25 1/2 years old, and I hope he's doing well. Bio mom had not even named him at birth, so I have no idea what his name is now or if he's even alive. Children do better with bio parents but we both can't help feeling used. We were not going through that again. Don't you feel great that you had your GOTCHA moment? How many children have you adopted? Now that young women are forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term, you MAGAs need to pitch in. BTW, we already had two bio children, so we were not "desperate." We went through readoption in Virginia which required updating the home study and more visits. We did that so they will always be able to get authenticated Virginia certificates of foreign birth. Suspect adopters don't usually do that.

Yes, it’s awful. They make their own rules and are not held accountable. At all. For anything.

Don't feel so confident. We are still working on ridding the Court of corrupt justices. None of them are out of hot water yet.

That’s adorable that you want to pretend that Bretty was subject to an assassination attempt.

The only reason that Kavanaugh and Thomas sit on the court is because the GOP is amoral and entirely without ethics. ACB wasn’t fit, Gorsuch, Roberts and Alito all lied. But make no mistake that if the GOP was a functioning party, Kavanaugh and Thomas would be out on their rears.

That is JUSTICE Kavanaugh to you, Skippy.
And, are you denying that a liberal flew across country with all the tools needed to assassinate someone and when found outside of Kavanaugh's home, he admitted he had come to assassinate him?

I can't help it if those justices nominated by Republicans are not activists like Sotomayor and Kagan.
