Stop wearing thongs to exercise.

“If you're someone who works out in their lace thongs, listen up. Wearing breathable underwear is key when breaking a sweat. If you opt for silk or lace undergarments, moisture can get trapped which increases your risk of getting a yeast infection. Instead, go for pairs made of lycra or cotton.

That said, wearing the right fabric isn't the only important factor -- the style of your underpants matters, too. "Wearing a thong during exercise can bring E. coli living in the rear toward the front as you move, increasing your risk for urinary tract infection," Dr. Nicole E. Williams of the Gynecology Institute of Chicago told Elle.com.”

I would not work out regularly in period underwear. Many brands, not just those under lawsuits, contain harmful chemicals.

Always! I sweat down there and I’m a healthy woman so I have lots of natural moisture. I wear underware and a pantry linnet I change at least 2xs a day to keep things fresh. Not a chance I want all that sweat and discharge rubbing up against me longer than it needs to be.

Women who don’t wear underware, honest question. Are you all dry down there? Have your plunging hormones robbed you of natural lubrication? Putting sweat aside, I have no shortage of natural moisture and don’t care to be sitting in that alll day.

No but I’m only wearing the yoga pants for the 2 hours I’m working out/traveling to and fro so they don’t get messy.

All day would be a problem

What is the issue with going commando? My workout leggings have a lined gusset, just like panties. And I hate panty lines; they look terrible in leggings.

1) most workout leggings don’t have a lined gusset (lululemon doesn’t I can say for certain)
2) the gusset in leggings is a 1 inch triangle; not comparable to the gusset in underwear.

Whoa, it never occurred to me not to. I feel like the seam of the pants/shorts would bother my lady bits?

Hanky Panky thongs. You're welcome.
SEriously, there is nothing wrong with wearing a thong 2 hours a day.

I must be living under a rock, but I didn’t know “period underwear” was an actual thing. I thought period underwear just referred to the worn out, less sexy underwear I use on those days when I’d wear a pad or tampon
