Can you reduce calcium score/plaque in arteries

My cardiologist insists the problem is not moderate amounts of plaque per se, but unstable plaque.

Must be why my doc warned this test had not been approved (or at least that insurance won't pay for it), when I insisted on having it after my father's heart attack.


I had one done and a doctor told me they give a false sense of security. I didn’t don’t want to believe that. I had no plaque and was excited about it. 6 years later I had a heart attack and was 40% blocked in one artery.
