Ah, Sierra Simone. I’ll add Saint, by her. |
The Crescent City series from Sarah J. Maas |
Middle grade level writing fairy p*rn. Next you'll suggestion Jennifer L Armentrout. |
Jennifer Ashley's MacKenzie series if you're into historical romance. |
Well, if we are going "classic" what about Anne Rice's Beauty Series?

See, Crescent City and "Fairy" could go two ways so I had to look it up. Mythical creature in this case, not two men. |
Outlander..... Also, the tv series has some of the best sex scenes around. Not salacious or gratuitous, just an integral part of the characters and how they relate to each other. |
Meghan Quinn. All of them. |
Try authors Mhairi McFarlane (mostly British millennial characters,) Tara Dewitt, Kate Clayborn, Emily Henry, Roni Loren, Rachel Lynn Solomon, Chloe Lilese…I’ll look up others I’m forgetting. |
Not That Complicated, by Isabel Murray.
This was a surprisingly good read. It’s funny, there are some explicit scenes, and it’s a a well written romance. Made Isabel Murray an auto buy for me (she writes in many different genres, this one is contemporary). Part of the blurb: “If this was your classic Cotswolds murder mystery (it’s not) and Ray was an amateur detective (he isn’t) then when he stumbles across something unexpected under his bedroom floor, he’d investigate the hell out of it. Hard pass. Ray’s just a thirtysomething graphic designer with a broken heart who doesn’t much like his life right now. …” |
Come on you’re not going to find anything better than the Sleeping Beauty series. It’s Anne Rice at her most pervy. Classic books don’t get outdated because time has passed. |
Delta of Venus by Anais Nin |
not explicit and 800 pages to drag through |
Oooh, I like McFarlane and Clayborn - will look up your other recs! |
It’s not a good book though. |
